Slayers 2 Thunder Breathing: Zentaro & All Six Training Tasks
Start Thunder Breathing training with Thunder Trainer Zentaro at level 25. Complete Meditate, Cup Training, Push ups, Aim Training, Boulder Split and the Thunder Trainee fight in that order. After the unlock, use the Thunder branch of the skill tree to learn individual moves.

Prepare your level, supplies and travel skills
Reach level 25 before starting Zentaro’s training. Set aside 7,000 Wen and ten Demon Horns for the trip, then read his current request before confirming. Keep your healing and weapon budget separate so arriving at the trainer does not leave you unprepared for the final fight.
For Demon Horns, search below the bear area: descend toward the waterfall and enter the demon area underneath it. Defeat demons and check the drops. A kill does not guarantee a horn, so count the items in your inventory rather than treating ten kills as ten horns.
Prepare Double Jump and Wall Climb for the approach. The route uses tree trunks, ledges and raised stone platforms. These movement skills help you reach the trainer; they do not replace his level and training requirements.
Reach Thunder Trainer Zentaro
Approach the large red gate below the bear area, then face outward through the gate. Take the path on the right toward the rising ledges. Use the sloping tree trunks as bridges between stone platforms rather than trying to climb one sheer cliff from its base.
Cross the first trunk and climb onto the next ledge. Continue along the right-hand ledges and trunks toward the higher platforms in Verdant Cliffs. The upper route passes wooden crane frames with hanging hooks, then a series of stepped rocks you can climb and double-jump up. Zentaro stands on the broad, flat stone platform at the top.
Check for the interaction name Thunder Trainer Zentaro. The Thunder Trainee is a different NPC used at the end of the quest. Talk to Zentaro, select the level-25 Thunder Breathing option and confirm that Thunder Breathing Training appears with a 0/6 counter.
Open the map and mark the active training objective. The first activities are at Butterfly Mansion, away from the trainer’s platform. Follow the active quest marker to the training area instead of searching for a meditation station beside Zentaro.
Follow the six tasks in order
Each later row stays locked until the preceding objective is complete. Check that the row reaches 1/1 before moving on. Water Breathing has a different sequence, so its parkour and underwater collection steps will not advance this quest.
| Step | Objective | Main action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Meditate | Time your input as the moving line overlaps the target. |
| 2 | Cup Training | Track the cup hiding the ball through the shuffle. |
| 3 | Push ups | Time the click as the inner and outer rings meet. |
| 4 | Aim Training | Start Target Shooting and hit its displayed targets. |
| 5 | Boulder Split | Follow the circle prompts at a splitting boulder. |
| 6 | Defeat the Thunder Trainee | Win the encounter after all five exercises. |
Meditation and cups at Butterfly Mansion
Enter Butterfly Mansion and use the meditation interaction. On PC, hold T to start the activity. Click when the moving yellow line enters the circular target area. Watch the timing bar rather than clicking repeatedly; continue until the activity registers as complete.
Move to the cup activity in the next room. Watch where the ball starts, then follow that cup through the shuffle. Keeping your cursor near the cup helps you maintain attention, but wait for the selection moment before choosing it.
The cup game has a round counter and hearts. Losing track of one swap can make the final positions misleading: follow the cup continuously from the initial reveal instead of guessing from where it ends. If you fail the activity, restart it and check the quest row after succeeding.
Push ups and Aim Training
Follow the newly active exercise marker to the push-up station. Start through its Train interaction, then click as the moving inner ring meets the outer ring. Treat each prompt as a timing task; rapid clicking does not replace lining up the rings.
After Push ups registers, move to the archery targets outside. The interaction is named Target Shooting even though the quest calls the task Aim Training. Start the activity, aim your cursor at each displayed target and click it.
At the end, check for four completed rows and Boulder Split as the active task. If the trainee fight is still locked, that is expected: splitting the boulder is a separate fifth objective.
Complete Boulder Split
Follow the Boulder Split marker to the raised training area. Look for the large rope-wrapped boulders and their training interaction. Start the activity instead of attacking the rock with ordinary sword swings.
Follow the circle prompts, connecting the grey and green targets as they appear. Keep your attention on the next prompt and the remaining hearts. Completing the exercise triggers the splitting scene; wait for it to finish and check that the Thunder Trainee objective is unlocked.
Defeat the Thunder Trainee
Recover health and prepare your current weapon before following the final marker. Set a nearby spawn point if you can reach one along the approach; that reduces the journey back after a failed attempt. The trainer platform and the trainee arena serve different stages of this quest.
Avoid spending your whole attack string into the trainee’s guard. Watch for the lightning attack animation, face the opponent and block with F on PC. After the attack finishes, use a short normal-attack sequence, then prepare to defend again.
Close distance when the trainee has finished attacking rather than dashing blindly into the lightning effect. If a combo catches you, regain control and defend before trying to restart your own attacks. Fight with abilities you already have; Thunder moves are the reward you are working toward.
After winning, look for the Thunder Breathing unlock notification. The final objective completes the training chain; it does not mean every individual skill is already learned.
Unlock moves in the skill tree
Press M on PC, open Skill Tree and inspect the Thunder Breathing branch. Individual nodes use skill points and their own mastery requirements. Read the selected node before spending points, then equip and practice the moves you can currently use.
If the branch is missing, check the six training objectives and the final encounter completion. If the branch exists but a move is locked, check that node’s requirements. These are different problems; repeating meditation will not supply missing skill points.
Continue your Slayer progression toward Final Selection and improve your equipment as needed. Use the progression checklist to keep track of the larger route while your breathing mastery grows.
