Entry and preparation

For the September launch route, Final Selection begins at level 45. Wait in the entrance area beneath the Final Selection countdown until the run starts. Use the countdown displayed in your server instead of planning around an assumed fixed schedule.

Before entering, equip the weapon and skills you know, keep healing supplies ready and leave cash for buying a bandage during the trial. Double jump practice helps with the timed obstacle section. A breathing style and a group are useful preparations; the route does not depend on having a particular rare clan.

The run shown in the launch route starts with three lives. Treat the life counter as a shared budget for combat, the underwater section and the obstacle course. A risky shortcut is rarely worth losing a life before the later encounters.

Rem, Lesser Demons and the lost katana

  1. Follow the opening marker to Rem and accept the fruit request. Collect the apple, banana and grape nearby, then return them. Use the fruit counters to confirm each pickup before returning to Rem.
  2. Accept the next wood-clearing objective and defeat five Lesser Demons. Check the enemy name and the objective counter: other demon types are not interchangeable with the requested Lesser Demons.
  3. Follow the next NPC marker and accept the lost Nichirin Katana request. Search the nearby marked area, then return the blade. Continue only after the next objective appears.

Buy a bandage at Rika and treat Klien

At Rika, use the Bandage purchase interaction beside her. Speaking to the NPC and purchasing the bandage are separate interactions; having the treatment objective active does not mean you have already bought the item.

Return to the injured NPC named Klien and choose Treat wounds. Complete the treatment interaction and check that the objective advances to finding Mizuto. Keep nearby enemies away before starting so you can finish the interaction.

Mizuto and the Submerged Key

Accept Mizuto’s request, then follow the pond objective and dive to the cave entrance. Plan your path through the water; lingering underwater can drown your character.

Defeat the boss inside the cave, collect the Submerged Key and bring it back to Mizuto. The boss kill and the key hand-in are separate steps: check your objective before leaving for the next section.

Survive the timed lever dungeon

Enter the next dungeon and pull the levers along the obstacle route. Watch the timer while moving between platforms, spikes and the later checkpoint areas.

Keep double jump available before a gap, line up the landing and use the ordinary route when an attempted skip would risk falling. A failed shortcut can consume a life, so saving a few seconds can cost far more than it gains.

Continue until the dungeon objective completes. Reaching a platform or pulling one lever does not necessarily end the course; inspect the remaining route before assuming the last visible lever is the final one.

Lavato’s checkpoints and Levi’s rescue

For Lavato, visit the four marked checkpoints. Check the objective after each one rather than running past a marker without registering it.

Levi’s section combines capturing a zone with rescuing a civilian. Enemies can crowd the capture area. Create space, watch for incoming attacks and return to the objective as soon as it is safe.

A useful tactic is to draw the pursuing group away from the capture point, circle around the nearby obstruction and return. This creates an opening; it does not permanently remove the enemies. Once the civilian appears, complete the rescue interaction and bring them back. On PC, follow the hold-T prompt shown on the civilian.

Steve and the Hand Demon

Speak to Steve and accept the final encounter. Keep enough space to read the Hand Demon’s attacks and avoid letting the smaller demons surround you while you focus on the boss.

Deal with the additional demons when they disrupt the fight. If boss damage stops registering, check the adds and the encounter state before repeatedly spending the same attack. Do not assume that every damage pause is a permanent immunity or that a particular clan move is required.

Finish the encounter and confirm the survived/completion screen. Complete the reward interaction with The Sisters, then check your Slayer uniform, Crude Iron Ingot and crow. Equip the crow from your inventory to begin crow missions; take the ingot to Yagane when you want to forge a katana.
