Where is Zuko? Follow Krue’s bandit boss quest

Bring a weapon you can already use. A Regular Katana is a practical starting option, and the encounter can also be fought with fists; obtaining a breathing style is not the starting requirement.

1. Complete Krue’s early bandit jobs until you can take the level-7 boss quest.
2. Select Defeat the Bandit Boss and check that the tracker names Zuko before leaving the quest giver.
3. Follow the active objective to the nearby bandit fighting area. Confirm the target name is Mini Boss Zuko before attacking.

Fight Zuko with short entries and a way out

Zuko has 300 maximum health and uses a curved blade at close range. He can guard incoming attacks, so continuously attacking in front of him can leave you in reach of the next exchange. Make your first attempts about controlled spacing rather than finishing a long combo.

On the default PC layout, F guards and Q plus a movement direction dashes. Practice those inputs before approaching, and check your own bindings if you changed them. A dash creates space; do not assume it makes every incoming attack harmless.

1. Equip your current usable weapon or fists, identify Mini Boss Zuko and leave clear ground behind or beside your character for retreat.
2. Enter close range for a short attack attempt. If he guards or your attacks stop connecting, stop extending the sequence into his defense.
3. Dash away using Q with the intended movement direction. Keep the camera on Zuko so you can see whether he is still advancing or swinging.
4. Re-enter only after you have room to attack and leave again. Start with one or two attacks as a practice limit, then adjust to the exchange instead of treating a fixed combo count as guaranteed.
5. When your health becomes low, break off the next attack attempt. Regain safe spacing and reassess before closing; trading just to finish his remaining health can cost the whole attempt.

Zuko drops: Cutlass, Quick Draw and the level requirement

Do not turn a listed chance into a guaranteed number of kills. When you obtain Cutlass, equip it and open its skill tree; Double Cut and Quick Draw are distinct entries. Owning the weapon does not automatically unlock every move.

After the defeat: collect loot and check three different results

Stay near the defeated boss long enough to check the reward area. On PC, approach the dropped loot until its T interaction prompt appears and use that prompt to collect the available items. Watch for item-name notifications, then confirm the items in your inventory.

Cosmetic loot such as Chained Glasses or Black Kumo Haori is a different result from obtaining Cutlass. Collect what is available, but verify the weapon by name before deciding that your weapon-farming goal is complete.

1. Check whether the active boss objective completed.
2. Approach and collect available loot through its interaction prompt.
3. Read the item names and check the inventory for Cutlass separately.
4. If Cutlass is still missing, review the level condition before another weapon-farming attempt.
5. If you obtained it, equip it and inspect its skill nodes before repeating the fight for a skill goal.

Know when to move on

If your goal is leveling, continue the progression route when the next useful quest opens. If your goal is Cutlass, check the reward conditions first. Keep enough money for your next trainer or weapon instead of treating this one drop as mandatory for all progress.
