Slayers 2 Stone Breathing Guide: Gyorei, Axe and Mace, Six Tasks
To learn Stone Breathing in Slayers 2 (formerly Project Slayers 2), reach level 25, obtain and equip Axe and Mace, then visit Stone Trainer Gyorei beside the wooden hall in Stone Sanctuary. His dialogue asks for four Beast Cores. Accept the quest and complete meditation, push-ups, Boulder Push, Boulder Split, Parkour Dungeon and the Stone Trainee fight before opening the Stone skill tree.

Stone Breathing requirements
Meet Gyorei’s requests, accept Stone Breathing Training and check the first objective in your quest tracker.

Prepare the weapon and material before speaking to Gyorei
Axe and Mace is both a trainer prerequisite and the weapon used for Stone moves. Obtaining it is separate from completing Stone training.
Gyorei’s trainer and the Stone Hashira boss are separate interactions in the sanctuary. Use the Chat prompt to learn the style.
Use the Stone Trainee chest and find the paired set in inventory.
Gather Beast CoresCount the material drops before returning to the trainer.
- Reach level 25 and prepare Double Jump and Wall Climb for the sanctuary approach.
- Defeat the Stone Trainee and collect the Axe and Mace weapon if you do not already own it.
- Equip Axe and Mace and gather four Beast Cores before speaking to Gyorei.
- Speak to Stone Trainer Gyorei beside the wooden hall. Meet his weapon and material requests, then confirm Stone Breathing Training starts.
Follow the lower cliff path to Stone Sanctuary
Plan the climb before leaving the lower route. If a wall blocks progress, check your movement skill and look for the upper ledge rather than circling the same ground-level path.
- Leave the starting region toward the bear area and continue to the cliff edge.
- Drop onto the lower walkway and follow it through Verdant Cliffs.
- At the downhill fork, take the route toward Stone Sanctuary and keep to the cliffside trail.
- Climb onto the upper temple grounds; find the trainee near the grassy edge and Gyorei beside the large wooden dojo.
Finish the six Stone Breathing Training objectives
Complete these tasks in quest order. The next row unlocks after the previous one registers. If your tracker shows a different sequence, follow its named prerequisite.
After the trainee fight, open M → Skill Tree and select Stone. Training unlocks the branch; each move has its own points, mastery and prerequisite requirements.

Confirm the Stone skill tree is usable
After the final trainee fight, return to Gyorei if the quest tracker asks for it. Open Skill Tree and inspect the Stone branch. Training completion, node purchase, mastery and weapon equipment are separate checks; read the selected move before spending points.
If Gyorei still repeats the weapon condition, equip Axe and Mace from the correct inventory tab. If the training counter remains short of six, identify the unregistered objective before fighting the trainee again.
