Slayers 2 Flame Breathing Guide: Rengoku Trainer, Six Tasks and Skills

Reach level 25, cross the bridge toward Rengoku's elevated house and speak to him about Flame Breathing. Complete meditation, push-ups, boulder split, aim training, cup training and the Flame Trainee fight in the order shown by your quest log. After unlocking the style, open the Flame skill tree: its five moves are Unknowing Fire, Blazing Universe, Flame Undulation, Flame Tiger and Purgatory.

Find Rengoku and accept Flame training

A player who reached the trainer after crossing the bridge had to return with more currency before starting. Read the current prompt rather than relying on a quoted video amount. If you cannot interact, confirm your level and stand at the trainer's upper platform.

  1. Reach character level 25 before looking for a Breathing trainer.
  2. Cross the bridge toward Rengoku's house and climb to his raised position; use Double Jump if needed.
  3. Speak to Rengoku and read the current resource and currency requirement on the prompt.
  4. Accept the Flame training quest and check that its first objective appears.

Complete the six Flame training objectives

Follow your active quest marker between activities. The boulder can be above the lower training area, so look for an ascent before assuming the marker is wrong. After the cup activity, return to the Flame Trainee instead of searching for another exercise.

OrderObjectiveWhat to check
1MeditationUse the marked interaction and follow the timing prompts.
2Push-upsFinish the exercise until the quest counter advances.
3Boulder SplitFollow the marker to the raised boulder area and complete the cutting minigame.
4Aim TrainingUse the marked aiming activity and verify the counter.
5Cup TrainingTrack the cup in each round; later rounds move faster.
6Flame TraineeReturn to the marked trainee, defeat it and confirm the style unlock.

Build from the first dash toward Purgatory

Training grants access to Flame Breathing, while individual skill nodes still have their own mastery, point and prerequisite checks. Open each node before spending points. Use Unknowing Fire to learn your approach distance, then compare Blazing Universe's leap with Flame Undulation's nearby circular attack.

Flame Tiger has tap and hold attacks to practice separately. For Purgatory, inspect both the Rengoku boss reward and the final skill-tree conditions. Do not plan around a guaranteed drop or an unverified damage number.

If Flame Breathing or a move remains locked

If training has not started, return to Rengoku and read his current level and resource prompt. If the quest stops advancing, verify the named activity in your quest log before moving on. If the style is unlocked but a move is absent, inspect its selected skill-tree node, available points, mastery, weapon and assigned combat input.

Watch the Flame training and move footage

Use the trainer run to recognize the exercise order and the official showcase to identify each move. Read current requirements inside the game before spending points.
