Flame Tiger
Flame Tiger has two attacks: a tap sends a tiger projectile forward, while holding the input creates a longer close-range slash sequence. Unlock its Flame node first, then test both inputs with a clear target so you can choose the version that fits the distance.

Unlock the Flame Tiger node
Flame Tiger arrives late in the style progression. Check the selected node for its exact mastery and point gate.
- Finish Rengoku's trainer route and progress through earlier Flame skills.
- Select Flame Tiger in Skill Tree and read its current mastery, point and prerequisite conditions.
- Confirm the unlocked state, equipped katana and combat-bar input before testing both versions.
Choose tap or hold by distance
Practice both inputs on an ordinary enemy and compare their reach and recovery before a boss fight.
| Input | What to test |
|---|---|
| Tap | Launch the tiger-shaped flame toward a target in front of you; check its travel and where it lands. |
| Hold | Stay closer and allow room for the longer series of flaming sword cuts. |
Avoid using the wrong version
If you expect the projectile but get the melee sequence, shorten the press. If you expect sustained cuts but fire the projectile, hold the assigned input longer. If neither appears, inspect the node and weapon before testing range again.
