Flame Undulation
Flame Undulation is a close-range Flame Breathing attack built around a circular slash and rising flame cyclone. Unlock it through Rengoku's Flame skill tree, then practice while the enemy is already near you. Test its timing against basic attacks before relying on it as a counter.

Flame Undulation comes before Flame Tiger in the tree. Read the selected node for its exact gate.
- Complete Flame training and advance through the connected Flame nodes.
- Select Flame Undulation to inspect its current mastery and skill-point conditions.
- Unlock it, check the combat input and equip a katana that permits Flame moves.
Use the circular attack near a target
The blade traces a circle with flame rising around the user. Bring the enemy close enough for the attack area before pressing the skill. If the target retreats, avoid spending the cooldown from empty range.
To test its counter timing, practice against a predictable ordinary enemy attack. Watch whether the incoming basic hit and your skill overlap; do not assume every enemy move can be countered.
Separate range from unlock problems
If the animation plays but misses, check distance and the enemy's movement. If it does not play, check the node, weapon and assigned input. Do not confuse a missed counter timing with an unlearned skill.
