Slayers 2 Fishing Guide: Permit Stamp, Rod and Catch Controls
Start fishing in Slayers 2 (formerly Project Slayers 2) at Mistfall Harbor. Complete Dock Master Sofen's Earn a Fishing Permit quest, buy a rod beside Fisherman Jeso, equip it and click the water. During the catch minigame, use M1 to keep the white bar inside the yellow target until progress fills, then press T to collect the fish.

Fishing Permit quest and Permit Stamp location
- Find Dock Master Sofen on the wooden docks at Mistfall Harbor. Select his fishing dialogue and read the requirements before accepting.
- Check that Earn a Fishing Permit is active. Its two objectives are Permit Stamp found and Return to Sofen.
- From Sofen's dock, look across the water toward the wooden platform and waterfront building. Swim across and inspect the stack of crates against the wall, including the crate covered in blue cloth.
- Collect the Permit Stamp and verify that Permit Stamp found changes to 1/1.
- Return to Sofen to complete the remaining objective and receive the Fishing Permit.
Buy and equip a fishing rod
Look for Fisherman Jeso seated on the dockside crates with fishing rods beside him. Interact with the rod you want and read its purchase prompt. Complete that purchase before checking your inventory for the rod.
The Fishing Permit unlocks the fishing route; the rod purchase is a separate step. Equip the Basic Fishing Rod to a hotbar slot and select it so the rod is in your hands before casting.
How to catch fish with M1
- Stand beside the water with your fishing rod equipped. Left-click the water to cast.
- Wait for the catch minigame to begin before making timing inputs.
- Use short M1 presses and holds to track the yellow target with the white bar. Release when holding would carry the white bar past the target.
- Keep the bars aligned until the progress meter reaches 100%.
- Use the T pickup prompt to collect the catch, then check the item before casting again.
Fix the step that is stopping you

Continue toward Drowned Lure and the Legendary Rod
Keep your Basic Fishing Rod after you start upgrading. The first Drowned Lure clue uses that rod at night with no bait equipped, on the ledge opposite the waterspout near the red bridge.
Once you can reliably complete catches, follow the Drowned Lure and Legendary Fishing Rod routes below. The special night puzzle has its own setup, so clear your bait slot before attempting that clue.
