Finish the lure and ghost steps first

The video's automatic captions make one requested fish name unclear. Follow the in-game dialogue for the exact species and quantity before gathering fish.

1. Complete the Basic Fishing Rod and Drowned Lure steps.
2. At night, search beneath the red bridge for the Legendary Fisherman ghost.
3. Read the fish request in his dialogue and bring the requested catches back before following the final location clue.

Find the tree above the lower river

The video demonstrates the tree and the confirmation clue. Its creator obtained the rod after several tries, but that attempt count is only one example and does not establish a drop rate or guaranteed threshold.

1. Follow the river downstream from the bridge past two waterfall drops.
2. Look for the tree next to a cliffside ledge overlooking the lower water.
3. Cast down from the ledge and watch for the on-screen clue that you found the right spot.
4. Continue fishing there and check your Inventory after receiving the Legendary Fishing Rod reward.

Use the rod and set realistic expectations

The creator uses the legendary rod while hunting rare catches and Lost-set items. The game's Archives of Lost lists fishing as one possible source for Lost Cape, alongside Lost Chest.

The footage does not prove that only this rod can catch every Lost-set item or establish a fishing probability. Check your current rod tooltip, bait and item archive before spending time at one spot.
