Insect Katana
Insect Katana is a named sword used for an Insect Breathing build in Slayers 2 (formerly Project Slayers 2). A post-release boss run shows it as a reward from the Insect-themed boss after repeated fights. Check each boss reward chest and your weapon inventory; then equip the katana and inspect its live stats. The base Insect Katana is a different item from the Firstlight Insect Katana schematic hidden by the riverside cave.

Check the Insect boss reward
The boss fight and trainer quest are separate activities. If your goal is the style, finish Shinora's training first; if your goal is the sword, inspect the boss reward after each win.
- Finish the Insect trainer route so your style and sword plan are clear.
- Travel to the Insect-themed boss near the later Slayer progression areas.
- Defeat the boss, open the reward and read the item name.
- Check the weapon inventory before repeating the fight; a win does not guarantee the katana.
Compare the actual weapon after equipping
Equip Insect Katana and read the current weapon panel for its damage, slot and any breathing interaction. Test a basic sword attack and one Insect move before deciding whether the weapon improves your build.
Keep your earlier sword until the Insect Katana is actually in inventory. A reward notification for another accessory does not mean the sword dropped.
Distinguish the Firstlight schematic
Firstlight Insect Katana is a later schematic route near a riverside opening. Studying that pattern is separate from obtaining the base Insect Katana boss reward and separate again from crafting an upgraded weapon. Read the exact item name before planning materials.
