Firstlight Insect Katana
The Firstlight Insect Katana schematic is hidden near Shinobu's riverside area. Search the large patch of bushes beside the river, drop through the small hole and follow the passage to the schematic. Confirm the full Firstlight Insect Katana name at the pickup; obtaining a pattern is separate from crafting and equipping the weapon.

Find the riverside opening
Use the river, thick bushes and small ground opening as landmarks. If you circle the buildings without finding the hole, return to the bank and search the vegetation at ground level.
- Travel toward Shinobu's riverside area and follow the water rather than climbing the nearby buildings.
- Search the broad patch of bushes along the bank for a small hole in the ground.
- Drop into the opening and follow the concealed route down to the schematic pickup.
Confirm the Firstlight Insect Katana pattern
Read the item name before leaving the cave. The ordinary Insect Katana, Butterfly Katana and other Firstlight blades are different items.
If you have already studied the schematic, check Inventory or the forge list instead of expecting a second reward from the same pickup.
Plan the weapon after leaving the cave
This route supplies the schematic, not a completed sword. Visit the blacksmith and inspect the recipe, base weapon requirement and currency before collecting materials.
