Water Surface Slash

Check the first Water node after training

A completed trainer objective, an unlocked skill node and an equipped weapon are separate checks. If the move does not appear, inspect all three before repeating training.

1. Finish Urokodaki's ordered training tasks, including five Underwater Rocks and the Water Trainee.
2. Open Skill Tree and select Water Breathing; verify Water Surface Slash is marked unlocked.
3. Equip a compatible katana and inspect the move's combat-bar slot before fighting.

Use the forward cut at a reachable distance

Water Surface Slash makes a direct forward sword attack. Start near an ordinary enemy, face it and watch where the slash ends. If you cast too far away, approach again before using another close attack.

Practice the first hit as a simple opener, then use the on-screen cooldown and your target's position to decide whether to follow with Whirlpool or basic sword attacks. If the opening cut misses or is guarded, reposition before trying the next skill.

Plan the next Water purchase

Whirlpool is the next Water node and costs six skill points. Check its live mastery and connected-node requirements before spending points elsewhere. Unlocking Water Surface Slash does not automatically buy the rest of the branch.
