Rising Dust Storm
Rising Dust Storm changes with distance. At long range it launches a vertical cyclone toward the aim direction; at close range it creates a cyclone around the user with repeated hits. Unlock the move in the Wind Breathing skill tree, then test the spacing in a manageable fight before using either version in a harder encounter.

Choose the cyclone by your distance
Distance changes the attack form. Aim and spacing therefore matter more than a single memorized button sequence. Compare both forms in a safe encounter.
| Position | Attack effect | Practical check |
|---|---|---|
| long range | A vertical cyclone travels toward the aim direction. | Face the target and leave room for the projectile to travel. |
| close range | A vertical cyclone forms around the user and lands repeated hits. | Confirm the enemy is near before committing to the stationary attack. |
Check the Wind skill tree first
Read the mastery, skill-point and connected-node requirements shown by Rising Dust Storm in your game before spending points elsewhere.
- Finish Saneri's Wind Breathing Training and the Wind Trainee fight.
- Open the Wind branch and inspect Rising Dust Storm's current node requirements.
- Unlock the node when eligible and assign its combat input.
- Equip a katana that allows breathing skills, then compare a distant cast with a nearby cast.
Avoid casting the wrong variant
For a distant target, line up your camera before launching the traveling cyclone. For nearby enemies, leave enough health and room to stay through the multi-hit animation. If the move behaves differently than expected, reset the distance and check your equipped weapon and skill slot.
