Purifying Claws
Purifying Claws is a Wind Breathing skill whose observed node asks for Wind Mastery 14 and six skill points. Its opening downward sword strike releases four vertical claw-like slashes. If the initial claw connects, pressing the skill a second time brings the user above the target for another Purifying Claw. Check the current node and combat input before spending points.

Meet both requirements before unlocking
Character level and Wind Mastery are separate counters. A mastery value alone cannot pay the six skill points. Read the node again if Unlock is unavailable.
- Finish Wind Breathing training with Saneri and open the Wind branch.
- Build Wind Mastery 14 and retain six skill points.
- Select Purifying Claws, inspect any connected prerequisite and unlock the node when eligible.
- Equip a compatible katana and verify the skill's assigned input.
Use the second press after the opening claw lands
The opening strike slams the sword downward and sends four vertical slashes forward. The second press follows a landed initial claw and relocates the user above the target for another attack.
Watch whether the first strike connects before pressing again. If you swing from outside its reach, reposition; do not assume a missed opening grants the follow-up. Practice the timing in a safe fight before relying on it during a boss encounter.
If the skill or follow-up does not activate
Inspect Wind Mastery, unspent points, connected nodes and your equipped weapon. If the first cast works but the follow-up does not, check contact with the target and the input shown on your current skill bar. The two presses belong to one move, not two separate purchases.
