Mountain Wind

Mountain Wind is the opening Wind Breathing move to check after finishing Wind Trainer Saneri's six tasks and defeating the Wind Trainee. The attack rises with an upward sword slash and follows with a second cut that knocks the target down. Confirm its node and combat-bar slot, then equip a katana that supports breathing moves before trying it.

Find Mountain Wind after Saneri's training

Training unlocks the Wind route; it does not grant every later Wind skill. If the move does not appear, check the branch, current weapon and skill slot before repeating the trainer journey.

  1. Reach Wind Trainer Saneri in the snowy region and accept Wind Breathing Training.
  2. Complete the six objectives and defeat the marked Wind Trainee.
  3. Open Skill Tree, choose the Wind branch and inspect Mountain Wind.
  4. Confirm the move is available on your combat bar while a compatible katana is equipped.

Use the rising hit and follow-up cut

The sequence starts with a swift upward slash that lifts the user into the air. A second slash follows and knocks the target to the ground. Practice against an ordinary enemy to learn the reach of the opening cut and where the second cut leaves you.

Commit when you can reach the target with the first strike. If it misses, reset your position rather than treating the second animation as a guaranteed hit. Inspect your live cooldown and resource bar before planning another move after landing.

Plan the next Wind skill separately

Purifying Claws is another Wind node requiring Wind Mastery 14 and six skill points. Save enough points if that is your next purchase, and read its connected-node requirement in the game. Mountain Wind's attack animation does not itself unlock Purifying Claws.
