Slayers 2 Shinazugawa Clan: Skills, Stats & Wind Synergy

Shinazugawa combines Wind-related bonuses, weapon mastery support and poison effects. Windstorm Vigor Mode provides a Wind Damage Factor bonus, while Marechi’s Blade trades health for a short poison window on M1 attacks. Learn the clan’s active skills separately from its passives, and complete Wind Breathing training separately if you want to use that style.

How to get and inspect Shinazugawa

Choose whether to keep the clan for the character you are building. Wind is a clear synergy, but the weapon mastery and other listed benefits are also relevant before you finish breathing training. A rare roll does not complete the trainer’s quests for you.

  1. Open customization from the main menu and enter the clan area.
  2. Inspect your current clan before deciding to spend another roll. If you obtain Shinazugawa, expand its Skills, Passives and Stats sections.
  3. Enter the game and open Skill Tree. Find the clan category among the tabs and inspect the requirements for each active skill.
  4. Follow the skill-tree requirements and check your combat bar before expecting an active ability to work. Owning the clan and having a usable skill equipped are separate checks.

Active skills: Marechi’s Blade and Windstorm Vigor Mode

Marechi’s Blade is an active attack effect. Do not confuse it with Marechi’s Blood, the separate retaliation passive. The Blade description attaches poison to M1 attacks; it does not say that every breathing skill receives the same effect.

Treat the displayed factors as separate fields. The mode’s Wind Damage Factor and Additional Damage Factor are not a license to add them to every other percentage and claim one universal final-damage increase.

Check the current skill node and on-screen resource state before activating a mode. The clan description does not replace the skill’s unlock requirements or tell you that a mode can run indefinitely.

SkillEffectPractical tradeoff
Marechi’s Blade10-second blade effect; sacrifices 10% of Max Health. M1 attacks apply poison tick damage.Spend health only when you can use the short attack window. Activating before a long approach wastes part of it.
Windstorm Vigor Mode+20% Wind Damage Factor; +10% Additional Damage Factor; -10% Stamina Cost Factor; +5% Movement Speed Factor.Useful for a Wind setup, but you still need the breathing skills and enough resources to execute your attacks.

Passive effects and when they matter

Marechi’s Blood is triggered by incoming M1 attacks, so it is not a general promise that any damage source applies poison. Its retaliation chance also means it should not be the only thing your combat plan depends on.

Unyielding Spirit has a health threshold. At higher health, do not include its conditional benefits when assessing your setup. If you drop below the threshold, continue to block, reposition and recover rather than assuming the damage reduction makes you safe.

PassiveEffectHow to use the information
Marechi’s BloodIncoming M1 attacks can poison and slow the attacker; an opponent that kills the user also receives damage and a movement penalty.Retaliation is different from applying poison with your own attacks. Keep defending instead of taking hits to try to trigger it.
Unyielding SpiritBelow 30% health: +15% Damage Reduction Factor and +5% Additional Damage Factor.A low-health safety margin, not a reason to enter every fight injured.
Weapon Versatility+25% Katana and Weapon mastery.Supports weapon progression while you work toward your breathing and equipment goals.

Shinazugawa stat bonuses

The stat list separates Damage Reduction Factor from Damage Reduction. Keep these fields separate when comparing gear or clans. Likewise, the unconditional stat list, an activated mode and a below-30%-health passive describe different states of your character.

Max Health+135
Movement Speed Factor5%
Additional Damage Factor18%
Health Regen Speed5%

Build around Wind without skipping its unlock route

  1. Begin with a usable weapon and reliable quest completion. The Regular Katana starter route gives you a way to progress before a specific boss weapon drops.
  2. Prepare for Saneri’s Wind Breathing training. Check the trainer’s level and material request, then finish the ordered exercises and Wind Trainee fight.
  3. Start with the Wind skill you have unlocked. Mountain Wind is the initial move; the Purifying Claws node requires Wind Mastery 14 and 6 skill points.
  4. Inspect and equip the clan skills you can use. Decide whether the next encounter gives you room to use a short melee attack window before activating Marechi’s Blade.
  5. Use your openings, then return to defense and repositioning. If health is low, prioritize staying alive rather than spending more health solely to activate another effect.
  6. Pursue later Wind gear after the basic route works. Keep clan acquisition, trainer completion, mastery progression and boss rewards as separate goals.

Keep, build around or reroll?

Choose a clan around your current route and the skills you can use. You can continue progressing with another usable clan; repeated rolls are not a prerequisite for starting Wind training.

Your situationUseful next step
You want Wind BreathingKeep the Wind-specific mode bonus in mind, then complete Saneri’s training. The clan does not grant the style automatically.
You are still doing opening questsUse your weapon and defensive fundamentals. Mastery and stat benefits can help before your full skill setup is ready.
You often die while activating BladeCheck the health sacrifice and shorten the gap between activation and a safe attack opening. Skip the activation when the trade is poor.
A clan skill is missing from your barInspect the clan skill-tree tab and requirements before assuming you need to reroll.
You are choosing a different breathing styleCompare the benefits you will actually use. A Wind-specific bonus alone does not improve a different style.
