Demon Horns

What Demon Horns are used for

Water and Thunder training both lead you to a trainer interaction with preparation requirements. Check the displayed horn count at the specific trainer you plan to use. Keep the horns in your inventory until you have decided which breathing route to start.

Wen, character level and Demon Horns are separate checks. Meeting one does not complete the other two, and handing in materials does not complete the trainer's later activity chain.

An early place to look

A defeated demon does not guarantee a horn. Plan around actual inventory drops rather than converting a number of kills into an assumed number of horns.

1. Travel toward the bear area and descend toward the waterfall below it.
2. Enter the demon area, fight one enemy at a time and inspect the resulting loot.
3. Check the Demon Horn count in your inventory after each drop, then return to the trainer once you have the amount its dialogue requests.

If training will not start

Read the trainer's current requirement again and check your character level and Wen as well as the material count. Water and Thunder have different training quests after payment; spare horns alone will not unlock a move.

After the trainer accepts your preparation, track the new breathing training objective. Complete its ordered activities before checking the skill tree.
