Slayers 2 Horse: How to Find, Tame and Ride a Mount
To get a horse in Slayers 2 (formerly Project Slayers 2), find a wild horse, hold T to start taming, time the moving rings and confirm the 15,000 Wen purchase when the minigame finishes. Then equip the Horse item from your inventory. Bring the money before searching: completing the timing game and purchasing the mount are separate steps.

Where to look for a horse
Search the open terrain around Windy Peak and Bamboo Grove while you travel between quests. A horse can appear near the boulder-training area below Windy Peak; check the surrounding ground when visiting that station. These are search areas, so an empty spot is a reason to continue looking.
Use an unlocked shrine to shorten the trip to your search area. Keep enough Wen for both your horse and your next planned trainer or equipment purchase. If you are still saving, follow your current quest route and inspect the nearby fields along the way.
How to tame the horse
- Walk up to the wild horse and hold its T interaction on PC.
- Watch the moving circle and click when it lines up with the target ring. Refocus on the new ring after each input.
- Continue the timing sequence until the progress meter reaches 100%. Avoid rapid clicking between the target moments.
- Read the purchase prompt and confirm the 15,000 Wen cost.
- Open Inventory, equip Horse to a hotbar slot, then select that slot to ride.
Tamed a horse but cannot ride it?
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The minigame finished but Horse is missing | Check whether you confirmed the purchase and had enough Wen. The finished timing sequence alone is not the inventory reward. |
| The rings keep failing | Wait for alignment on each ring. Repeated clicks are harder to control than one deliberate input. |
| Horse is in Inventory but selecting a number uses another tool | Equip the mount to the intended hotbar slot and check that slot again. |
| A search spot is empty | Check other open ground around your route instead of waiting at an empty stable or treating one location as a permanent horse vendor. |
Use the mount for longer routes
A horse is useful when your next objective is far from your current shrine, particularly repeated trainer visits. Check your destination before riding away so you travel to the trainer for a new quest or to the trainee for the final fight.
Keep the mount and your combat tool in distinct hotbar slots. At your destination, switch back to the weapon you intend to use before approaching an enemy.
