Slayers 2 Tomioka Clan: Skills, Passives & Water Synergy

Tomioka is a Technician clan with a cooldown-reset skill, Water-specific combat passives and a discount on purchases made with Wen. Flowing Motion resets two random skills, while Flowing Counter rewards blocking before a Water attack. To build around these effects, unlock Water Breathing separately and distinguish your clan skill from the breathing skill tree.

How to find Tomioka and prepare its skills

The roll menu groups clans into rarity categories. A percentage displayed for a whole category is not the probability of obtaining Tomioka individually. Choose around the benefits you will actually use instead of treating repeated rolls as a prerequisite for progression.

  1. Open customization from the main menu and enter the clan area. Inspect Tomioka’s expanded entry before deciding whether to keep your current clan or roll again.
  2. Read Skills and Passives separately. Tomioka is listed as a Technician; its active skill is Flowing Motion.
  3. After obtaining the clan, open the in-game Skill Tree and inspect the clan tab. Complete the displayed requirements and check the equipped combat bar.
  4. Complete Urokodaki’s Water training if you want to use Water-specific bonuses. Rolling Tomioka does not finish the trainer’s quest chain.

Flowing Motion: two random cooldown resets

Flowing Motion resets the cooldowns of two random skills. Its random selection means you should check which skills become available instead of assuming your preferred attack will always reset.

Use the reset to create another useful opening after spending skills, then reassess stamina and positioning. An available cooldown alone does not give you the resources or a safe opening to use the attack.

Keep the clan skill and Water moves separate when checking your bar. If Flowing Motion is absent, inspect the clan skill node and equipment state before spending another clan roll.

Tomioka passives and their exact triggers

Flowing Counter needs a block and a Water follow-up. Water’s Clarity instead builds over time in combat. Neither should be treated as an unconditional bonus from the first hit.

Do not stand in attacks to trigger Tidal Blood. Continue defending and repositioning; the movement penalty affects the attacker but does not cancel the damage you took.

PassiveEffectPractical use
Pain ResistanceThe user is not slowed at low health.Preserves movement when injured; it does not restore health or prevent incoming damage.
Flowing CounterAfter blocking an attack, the next Water Breathing skill used within 5 seconds deals 15% more damage.Block, then use a Water skill during a safe opening within the short window.
Serenity Discount30% discount on everything bought with Wen.Relevant to Wen purchases; do not apply the percentage to other currencies.
Water’s ClarityEvery 15 seconds in combat: +3% Water Damage Factor and -3% Water Stamina Cost Factor, stacking up to three times.Longer fights can build to +9% and -9% at 45 seconds.
Tidal BloodWhen struck by a Water Breathing skill, the attacker receives -10% Movement Speed Factor for 3 seconds.A response to incoming Water skills, not a slow attached to every attack you perform.

Water’s Clarity: how the stacks build

These are the passive’s Water-specific factors, not a universal final-damage calculation. Do not simply add Flowing Counter’s percentage to this table and apply the result to every weapon hit.

A short fight may end before the full stack develops. Use your available skills and defend normally instead of prolonging an easy encounter just to reach the cap.

30 seconds+6%-6%

A practical Tomioka and Water progression route

  1. Use a reliable starter weapon to complete opening quests and collect the resources for training. You can progress before obtaining a boss weapon.
  2. Follow the Water trainer route, bring the requested payment and materials, and complete Parkour Dungeon, Pushups, Boulder Push, Aim Training, Underwater Rocks and the Water Trainee fight.
  3. After unlocking Water Surface Slash, use the Water skill-tree tab to choose the next available move. Track Water Mastery and skill points separately from character level.
  4. Inspect Flowing Motion in the clan tree and equip the skills you can actually use. Keep your breathing unlocks and clan unlocks as separate checklist items.
  5. In combat, block an incoming attack and look for a safe Water follow-up within Flowing Counter’s five-second window. Reposition if the opponent is still attacking.
  6. After using skills, check what Flowing Motion resets and whether you have enough stamina for the next action. In longer fights, account for Clarity’s Water-specific stacks without abandoning defense.

Keep Tomioka or continue rolling?

A clan choice supports a route; it does not replace training, mastery or learning an encounter. Keep a usable setup while working toward the next unlock instead of stopping all progress to chase one clan.
